IN AN ACCIDENT

IF THERE ARE ANY INJURIES, CALL 911 FIRST

Following any accident, no matter how minor, call the Fleet Coordinator - Kim Elofson at 614-430-1688 ext. 4. AGAIN, IF THERE ARE ANY INJURIES, CALL 911 FIRST, then the Fleet Coordinator.  If the Fleet Coordinator is not available, contact our Safety Manager - Tom Summers at ext. 5, who is trained on Tristar’s accident protocol. 

The Fleet Coordinator will guide you through any and all scenarios involved in auto accidents.  He/She will coordinate with the office for you if your student needs to have a sub to finish your route and/or rescue you if your car is not drivable.  The office will also contact the parents and school if you have students in the car to notify of the delay in dropping them off.  He/She will also guide you on the exchange-of-information process and may visit the scene herself to investigate the accident and assist you further. 

In your glove compartment there is an envelope with:

- Insurance information

- Car registration

- Exchange of Information form

Later, you’ll need to stop in the office to complete an accident report form for insurance purposes.
